Notez l'évolution de la taille apparente et de l'orientation de la queue en 10 jours, du 31 oct au 9 nov. Sur cette image, le contraste est plus grand que le 9 nov, mais aucune calibration photométrique (mesure exacte de la lumière) n'est effectuée. Il s'agit peut-être d'une différence due à la photo et non d'une réalité. Le mouvement réel de la comète est si rapide que les étoiles en arrière-plan ne sont pas les mêmes. Ce mouvement est perceptible au télescope et aux jumelles, mais difficilement à l'oeil nu.

Note the evolution of the apparent size and the orientation of the tail within 10 days, from oct, 31 to nov, 9. On this image, le contrast is greater than on 9-nov, but as no photometric calibration (accurate measurement of the brightness) has been realized, this difference is perhaps due to the image processing and acquisition. The real motion of the comet is so quick than the stars of the foreground have changed. This motion is noticeable through a telescope or binoculars; it is hardly noticeable with naked eye.
